This is it, folks: your humble correspondent's second actual book, in the inky flesh.

Congrats, Adrian!

And I, too, have a copy now. I'm very much looking forward to starting into it this weekend.

Wouldn't you know it -- about four hours after I saw this entry and posted my reply, Neil called to say the book had arrived. Minutes later it was paid for and in my hands!

A bookplate would be wonderful, Adrian! I'll send you pertinent addressing and a pic of Eclipse resting comfortably in my house, to go along with the one I sent you of Orbital Burn.

By the way -- David Brin's Brightness Reef has been put aside while I get stuck in to Eclipse. Don't tell him, it might hurt his feelings. ;)

Based on the cover it looks like a great book... ;-)

Good luck with it and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.

Treefen--it's okay; you're excused. :) If the Monkey likes sf, or you know anybody else who likes a bit of hard sf, or you just fancy doing me a bit of a favour, you could tell folks about it. :) Also, don't feel bad. You've got a heap of huge stuff going on in your life these days.

Charlie--Brian said that? He is a top egg, I must say. And I'm sorry your bookshop has had trouble getting it in. I mean, it's only been nearly a month and all. Anyway, I hope you like it. I wish I could get over there and sign it for you. How would a signed book plate do?

Selkie--since you're in the US, it's a bit harder to come by. If, when it comes out in the US in March you *still* haven't ordered it, well then I'll have to take you aside for a quiet word, and/or send the boys around for a little chat. :) [kidding] If you know anybody who might find it interesting, you could direct them to the publisher's site and see if they'd like to snaffle a copy. That helps. :)

Cheyenne--Yup, here it is at last. Now that book has seen some serious revision, partly at Brian and Adam's hands, and partly at yours. It's still pretty much the same story, but now there's extra bits as well to flesh things out better.

I preordered mine, and it's still not here yet. Can you believe it? I live about an hour from EDGE headquarters in Calgary and your copy got to Australia first. I have been assured by Neil, my local bookstore boss-fella and all round good guy, that the holdup has been resolved and it is finally on the way.

Looks bloody marvellous in your hands, old bean. Publisher Brian told me at WesterCon that the story is even better than the cover, which means it will be awesome! Can't wait!

Congratulations!!!!!!!

I still have not ordered my copy yet - shame on me!
